It’s by far the longest streak for me (other than the Covid period). I have not been to a movie hall for 4 months.
There have been very few releases worth watching in the first half of this year.
I was eagerly waiting to watch Adipurush but somehow was busy in the opening weekend of 16th June and had decided to watch it towards the end of June.
In the meantime, the media was flooded with bad reviews about the movie (I am sure you know about it).
Adipurush production team received a lot of flak. They were quick to respond positively by making a few changes in the dialogues by the end of the first week. This too wasn’t enough to get the audience back to theatres.
The life of a movie today is limited to the first 10 days (>90% of its lifetime collection happens in the first 10 days).
The negative perceptions were too strong to be diluted by any cosmetic changes in that short time period.
There was no second chance.
Thankfully, the same is not true for our life.
People carry perceptions about you as a person and you have the ability to change it – to turn the clock around if you’re ready to go the distance.
It’s going to take longer – not a few days but actually a few weeks or maybe months.
It will take time.
It will take a concerted effort.
But, it will be worth it.
Is there a perception around you that you want to change?
You do have a chance!
