Consistency is the Key
Consistency is the Key
Have you heard of scores of people starting on a weight management program but only a few getting the desired results?
This is not just true for a fitness program but for any endeavour in life.
I spoke about this and many other aspects as I addressed the new HR managers of
a very large organisation two weeks back.
The topic was Personal Branding.
I discussed 3 broad aspects in terms of having a vision, creating visibility
and finally building trust.
We spent a disproportionate time on creating visibility.
I asked them if they were active on any social media platform.
All hands in the room went up.
Actually, none among them was active (I define active in terms of posting
original content – videos or written post at a given frequency).
All of them had a login on either Insta or Linkedin and spent some/ lot of time
everyday browsing content.
They reshared the content of others and occasionally posted their selfie on
Insta.
That’s it.
While it’s good to learn from others, it is imperative to start contributing as
well (one of the best persons to learn from is Vikas Dua!)
A new person starting out may feel it’s already too late on these established
platforms.
There are scores of influencers having thousands and lakhs of followers and
there’s hardly any space left.
This is not the case.
Each person has a unique style which will appeal to a set of people.
Wow, then get, set and go!!
It’s easy to write once/ twice but that’s only the beginning.
Creating a personal brand is not about creating a one off post but about
writing/ recording videos consistently (again something to be learnt from Vikas Dua!!)
Consistency is the key.
Are you ready?
