Dare to change
Dare to Change
What’s the most difficult task in today’s world?
The hint is there in the picture!!
Well, it’s being able to make people laugh 🙂
I have watched a couple of episodes of many of India’s known stand-up comedians.
Except for one person, most of the others end up liberally using expletives in each sentence – MC BC types.
Beyond a point, it looks more like a gaali galoch show!
The one person who stands out from the crowd is Ashish Solanki.
My wife Nitika told me about a live stand-up show by Ashish at Gurgaon. We got our tickets booked and I was looking forward to my first live comedy show.
We had a great time.
His performance was exemplary – a laughter riot without any adjectives 🙂
I was surprised to know that he used to be a Maths teacher before he took up this profession full time.
Maths is a pretty serious subject. I am sure he would have been a great teacher – हंसी मज़ाक में ही गणित सिखा देते होंगे
As I was driving back home, I was thinking of what may have prompted this man to take up comedy.
What would have been the reaction of his immediate family?
What about his students?
He was brave enough to listen to his inner voice.
I don’t know how many more teachers/ professionals have been holding themselves back.
Forget about others, how about you?
If you had enough money and time, what is it that you would be doing?
Now I am not asking you to leave your current profession and get into the new activity full time.
How about taking it up part-time?
It’s your life.
Zindagi na milegi dobara..
