My son was visibly disappointed as he saw his CUET result (admission to undergraduate program at Delhi University).
There was no reason to be disappointed. He had faith that things will turn out in his favour.
Let me take you back a couple of years.
This was the summer of 2021.
My son was a part of the Covid batch and had just completed his class 10.
Tanmay had been an average student all these years (near about 80% is considered average!), but wanted to get into DU.
Considering his previous track record we knew it would be difficult for him, with difficult being an understatement.
Last year there was a big announcement in terms of an entrance exam for all central universities called CUET.
All of a sudden the board marks became redundant and students would now need to appear for a common entrance exam on the likes of engineering and medical.
I saw a new confidence in his eyes since the last year. Deep within he knew he was now in the reckoning!
He wrote the exam this year.
He had faith that he would make it to DU.
He felt slightly disappointed on seeing the result as he had not made it to the Top 10.
But, he had made it! He finally smiled 🙂
He would have never made it to DU basis his Class 12 marks. The Universe conspired and introduced an entrance exam.
I just love to repeat the iconic dialogue:
कहते है अगर किसी चीज को दिल से चाहो तो पूरी कायनात उसे तुमसे मिलाने की कोशिश में लग जाती है
This statement holds true for everyone including you.
You never know when God may turn the tide in your favour.
Have faith!
