Grow, Connect, Give
Grow, Connect, Give
Making people laugh is a difficult
task.
Year 2007.
A very bold decision.
A young man having worked across 4 different countries decided to come back to
India in his late 20s.
He chose a very unorthodox profession for that time. He became a trainer and
settled in his hometown in Punjab.
I am talking about Simerjeet Singh, one of the most sought after speakers in the
industry today.
He’s grown phenomenally over the last few years, especially post pandemic
I am a big fan of his body language and the tone of this Gabru from Punjab.
I was in touch with him through mail and Linkedin for over 2 years. We finally
met recently over dinner.
What’s the secret to his success?
I found a few clues during the course of our conversation.
Simerjeet is an advocate of continuous learning and attends an executive
education program once every year.
Most people hardly attend any meaningful training program in a year.
Simerjeet travels a lot and thus gets a chance to exchange ideas by meeting new
people.
Post-pandemic a lot of us have confined ourselves to hybrid work, with limited
travel.
Finally, Simerjeet gives back to society by mentoring students from schools
and colleges.
The more you give, the more you get!
Simerjeet is a Learner, a Traveller, and a Giver.
Before I sign off, here are 3 questions for you:
– how about spending time and money on self-development?
– how do we create more avenues to meet new people?
– what could be done to give back to society at every stage of our life?
