Getting better

Leadership is about making others better

How often do you get a feedback?

Let me share my part of the story.
It’s very rare.

I received a mail from a very senior HR leader of a large MNC last month. He reads my weekly experience letter (mail) every Thursday.

He stated that he reads most of my letters, if not all, and does find them interesting!

I was thinking of disclosing his identity but on second thoughts decided against it.
Let’s focus on the message instead.

For simplicity, let me call him “Mr Bansal”.

He shared a very meaningful feedback to make my writing more impactful.

He didn’t just stop at providing feedback but actually challenged me to incorporate the same in my writing style in the next few weeks!

I felt privileged.
Thank you Mr Bansal.

It’s not too often that someone will take out time to write a mail which is meant for your personal improvement.

That’s what true leadership is all about..

Do you want to emulate Mr Bansal’s act?
Here’s what you need to do:

1. Think of a person you admire (deep within you want the person to grow exponentially)
2. Check out his/ her work in terms of mails/ videos/ posts
3. Share a personalised feedback which can really help the person

Let’s grow, together!
