Does this seem like an endless life to you?
To me, it does not.
I have fond memories of Prof Kapil.
He was a brilliant professor and a fantastic human being.
I came to know about his demise and called up Mr Trivedy (we were introduced to each other through Prof Kapil).
Prof Kapil was a marketing Prof at MDI Gurgaon and had called me for many guest sessions.
I was always in awe of his energy and enthusiasm and his 6’3” posture added to the charisma.
We shared some fond memories of the time spent with Prof Kapil. Both of us thanked him as we paid our obeisance to the departed soul.
I am sure the vacant position would soon be filled with another qualified person and it would be business as usual.
This is not just true of Prof Kapil but for us as well when we breathe our last.
The world does not wait for anybody.
It just moves on..
I was reminded of a few lines I wrote in my book titled “Be Your Boss” which was published in June 2020.
These lines are mentioned on page 6:
“Does this seem like an endless life to you?
To me, it does not.
We have about 25,000 days on this planet.
One day became a part of the history books yesterday.
Another day which is today would be gone in a couple of hours,
and tomorrow is also just around the corner!”
The evergreen song from the 1970s hit movie Kabhi Kabhi sums it all..
मैं पल दो पल का शायर हूं
पल दो पल मेरी जवानी है
पल दो पल मेरी हस्ती है
पल दो पल मेरी कहानी है
Our time in this world is limited.
Let’s make the most of it..
