Never Loose Enthusiasm
Never Loose Enthusiasm
What do most people in north India do during summers?
They leave for the cooler havens of Himachal/ Uttarakhand.
We did the same a few weeks back – headed to Manali/ Rohtang.
*** there’s a message for you in this story ***
We could see the thick cloud cover as we were approaching Rohtang.
We got down a few hundred meters before the designated point as the serpentine queue was moving way too slowly (thousands of cars make a beeline for the Rohtang pass every single day).
It had started drizzling and we had to climb a hill to get to the designated area.
We had booked a short beginners skiing ride (it’s on a flat stretch with you having ample time to click a few photos).
It was an amazing experience.
Each one of us completed our skiing stunts and then rolled over in the snow. I had to live upto the energy and excitement of my 2 teenagers.
The drizzle gave way to a light snowfall and then the weather came down heavily.
Strong winds added to the chill. Our feet were beginning to get numb.
Our taxi was about a km away and we had to climb down the same hill to reach it.
Huffing and puffing, we finally boarded the taxi.
Deep within I thanked my 2 dynamic teenagers.
Had it not been for them, I would not have climbed the hill or indulged in the activities.
I would have missed out on a memorable experience.
This is so true for our professional endeavours as well.
We need enthusiastic and energetic people around us to achieve greater heights.
I hope you have a few around you 🙂
