Why would people queue up for hours to get inside?
It’s relatively hot even towards the late evenings.
It’s difficult to spot the small ball as compared to watching the same on TV.
Despite this, most of the matches are a complete sell out.
I am talking about IPL.
Not to miss out on the current frenzy, my son Tanmay and me went to watch an IPL game at Mohali two weeks back.
My friend Sanjeev had procured the tickets to the best possible seats right next to the boundary.
It was a treat to step inside the arena.
The lush green field, the 6 floodlights, red and blue flags with high octane Punjabi music keeping people on their toes.
The match was yet to begin and it seemed more like a concert than a cricket match.
Finally the match started.
There were enough oooh’s for every missed ball and cheers and claps for every ball hit out of the park.
This was the MI vs PBKS match and the loudest cheers went around for none other than our Boom Boom Bumrah.
Net net, there was never a dull moment.
The match was worth it.
It helped relive my dream.
The artist in me somehow loves these live performances in a grandeur setting.
I have a dream of speaking in front of thousands of people at IG stadium in New Delhi (every talk is a well rehearsed performance for me!).
I know this is going to happen –
it’s a matter of time!
How about you?
What’s your dream?
As Mr Anil Agarwal says –
अगर सपना देखोगे नहीं, तो सपने पूरे कैसे होंगे ?
