Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna.
I had gone to the nearby Bikanerwala outlet recently. As I stepped out and was moving towards the car parking, I heard this familiar sound and I stopped.
I saw a young man with tilak on his forehead and Bhagvad Gita in his hand.
He greeted me once again “Hare Krishna”. He asked me whether I would like to buy Bhagvad Gita.
I greeted him with folded hands and told him that I already had 2 copies. Is there anything else I can read?
He went to his counter and came back with a few more books published by Iskcon foundation. The titles were intriguing and I bought three of them.
I thanked him and was curious to know more about him. He was Gaurav Agrawal – a qualified finance graduate and worked in a regular job during the week.
I asked him how he got connected to the foundation at this early age (late 20s). He said he read a couple of books a few years back and found a new purpose in life – which was to spread the message of Shri Krishna to the humanity.
He decided to devote some time every week towards his purpose.
How about you ? No, I am not asking you to join the Iskcon foundation.
You too may have a purpose in life – something that drives you.
Taking a cue from Gaurav, I would suggest you to keep nurturing the same through a weekly activity (a weekly affair!).
You may eventually want to get married to the same (take it up full time) at some point in life – it’s happened with me!
Keep on, keeping on..
