Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I had answers ready to all such questions when I used to appear for my interviews (been a while as I appeared for my last interview in 2009).
When in 20s, the person is looking to become the vertical head in the next 5 years. When in 30s, the answer is to become a CEO (The Magic of Thinking Big!!). 40s is all about making a positive change to the society.
Many people harbor an ambition to be an entrepreneur down the line. People in our time never stated this as entrepreneurship was not “the cool” thing a decade or two back.
Are you really sure of what role you want to be in after 5 years?
This question is not just meant for an interview. We all need to keep challenging ourselves. We need to continually learn new skills and be on the lookout to scale new heights.
The Indian Government has a vision for India in 2025. The company you work for has a plan over the next 3 – 5 years.
